I still surprises me how many in the Treasure Valley don't know about the Wyakin's Wounded Warrior Academy, thanks goes out to the Nampa Lion's Club for bringing our team in to describe and answer questions about this wonderful program. The Governor will be with us inducting 13 more students into the program this Thursday at 10:30 am on the Capital steps... it's a great opportunity to meet all of our Wyakin Warriors, everyone is invited!

Thanks to the Potlatch VFW for putting on such a great Memorial Day ceremony. Honoring the sacrifices of our fallen veterans, and their families, to ensure the continued freedoms enjoyed by the citizens of this nation is the least we can do for them. Potlatch has created a wonderful memorial for those veterans of the past as well as those serving today. They also have, what must the the largest flag and flagpole North of Boise's Simplot hill in Idaho. They have created a wonderful community... thank you for the privilege of speaking today.

I was very moved this evening to view a screening of "Keeping the Promise Alive" about a Korean War POW who was held in a Russian POW camp and is still MIA. His Brother and Wife were at the screening and have been working for years to get answers to what happened to him. Take a look at this website that explains the issues surrounding quite a number of American POWs from the Korean War still unaccounted for. Something is not passing the smell test in DC, we don't leave our warriors to fend for themselves! www.keepingthepromisealive.com
